Ginger Concepción

After serving in the Navy for twenty years, I retired as a Navy Nurse in 1995 and took up painting while searching for another adventure. Now more than a decade later, I find myself a co-owner of Art on the Avenue, a fine art gallery in our sixth year of business. “Life loves to surprise us” a friend once said and I’m still in wonder about the unexpected career path my life took when I took up the brush.   And I'm pleased to say that I've been recently accepted as a member of Oil Painters of America. It can’t get much better than this!   One of my favorite inspirational quotes is by Goethe who said, “Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it".
